Secondment Week
Emerging dancers are invited to immerse themselves in company life alongside the artists of ADT.
Secondment Week invites emerging dancers to Kaurna Yerta to spend a week extending their practice alongside our remarkable ensemble of Company Artists.
Second and third year tertiary dance students and artists in their first few years of professional practice are invited to apply for the program which will include a deep dive into ADT's performance and choreographic methodologies, opportunities to work with the broader company and extend their practice at a formative moment in their career.
Secondment Week 2026 will run from 23 - 27 March on Kaurna Yerta/ in Adelaide. Applications are open now and close on 20 January

Cost:
Secondment Week is offered free of charge to successful applicants. Travel and accommodation associated with participation in the program will need to be covered by the applicant upon acceptance into the program.
How to apply:
The application is relatively straightforward. Please ensure that you apply via the digital application portal. Applications emailed directly to ADT or made outside of the portal will not be accepted.
To apply, you'll need to supply the following:
- Full Name
- Contact information (Email, phone number, address)
- A short bio
- A short piece of writing detailing why you want to attend ADT’s secondment Week, and what is it about ADT and our work that excites you.
- A link to a 1-minute showreel
- A headshot and CV
- Information about any access requirements
Eligibility:
Secondment Week is designed for emerging artists engaged in professional practice. Applicants who are engaged with or a recent graduates of tertiary level dance courses will be prioritised. Artists engaged in post-graduate dance research are welcome to apply.
ADT prioritises care at every level, with cultural and psychological frameworks in place across the organisation. First Nations, CaLD, queer/ LGBTQIA+ and artists with differing abilties are encouraged to apply.
