Join us as we push boundaries, build community and change the game.
For sixty years, ADT has pushed the boundaries of dance in Australia and beyond. As the elder of contemporary dance in this country, we’ve spent decades changing the game and fearlessly pushing the artform forward.
Through our artistic, learning and sector development programs, we treat dance as a collective practice – giving dancers at every level, and in every corner of the community, the opportunity to engage with our incredible network of artists.
Your donation to ADT will fund programs like:
- The creation of new work
- Regional engagement – supporting our work on the road to regional and remote communities throughout South Australia
- LOFT – a dedicated space designed to support independent dance-makers through residencies, workshops and awards
- The expansion of our learning program, which is delivered to thousands of young people across South Australia every year
- The expansion of our repertoire and performance ensemble

ADT Ambassadors donate a minimum annual amount of $250 per annum directly to the creation of new works by our company. Your donation forms part of the building blocks of the creative process, empowering our artists to be unapologetic and fearlessly ambitious in their work.
Learn MoreOur learning program connects thousands of young people, students and educators with world class dance, enshrining dance as a community practice that is vital to holistic development.
Learn MoreAt the beginning of 2025, Professor Ruth Rentschler OAM MAICD made national headlines when she committed a $500,000 bequest to Australian Dance Theatre – the largest single gift in our history. Preserving Ruth’s legacy as a tireless advocate for the arts, the bequest is a remarkable commitment to the future of Australian Dance.
