Zoë’s began dancing at the age of five in her hometown Mona Vale, NSW Australia. During high school, she performed in the NSW Schools Spectacular, Rock Eisteddfod Challenge and Public Schools State Dance Festivals (2000-2008). After completing her Higher School’s Certificate, she travelled to New Zealand to study at the New Zealand School of Dance in 2009.
Whilst living in NZ, Zoë performed in the internationally renowned World Of Wearable Art Show (WOW), Wellington Fringe Festival and TEMPO Dance Festival where she was nominated for Best Female Dancer. Training at the New Zealand School of Dance exposed Zoë to choreographers such as Craig Bary, Sarah Foster, Malia Johnston, Lina Limosani and Paul Taylor. She graduated from NZSD in 2011 with a Diploma in Dance Performance.
Zoë was offered a position at Australian Dance Theatre in 2012, and in that same year she performed Garry Stewart’s Be Your Self at Sydney Theatre and an excerpt of Be Your Self at the Australian Ballet’s Let’s Dance gala in Melbourne.
During the first three months of 2013, Zoë travelled internationally with the company for a European tour of Proximity before she performed G around Australia. Later that year, Zoë danced in Proximity again at the Arts Centre in Melbourne as well as the premiere season of Daniel jaber’s Nought in Adelaide.
Zoë travelled to Europe a second time in 2014 for the return tour of Proximity and then later to Sydney to help create and perform in Garry Stewart’s Choreography with the second year acting students of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Directly following this was the Adelaide season of Proximity.
In 2015 she performed in the Australian National Tour of Be Your Self and in the world premiere season of MALAGA – a work conceived, choreographed and directed by fellow ADT dancer Thomas Fonua as part of the TEMPO Dance Festival in New Zealand.
Zoë performed in the world premiere season of Habitus at the Adelaide Festival of Arts and then the world premiere season of The Beginning of Nature as part of the WOMADelaide festival in early 2016. Later that year, she performed in the return season of ADT’s choreographic season Ignition and then the Australian premiere of Objekt in Adelaide.
In 2017 Zoë performed in Garry Stewart’s Doppelganger, a piece featured as part of the exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia – Versus Rodin: bodies across space and time. She performed in the Melbourne Premiere season of Garry Stewart’s Be Your Self and then in the National tour of Be Your Self Redux throughout VIC, NSW and QLD.
In 2018, Zoë performed in the Australian national tour of The Beginning of Nature, across SA, NT, WA, NSW and TAS and international tour throughout Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium.
