sCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM

ADT is committed to the development of the next generation of South Australian dancers.

We’re thrilled to offer a series of school holiday workshops for young dancers of all levels throughout April.

Run by Learning Manager and lauded choreographer, Adrianne Semmens, alongside our company artists, this series introduces young people to our methodologies and repertoire in a fun and engaging environment.

There are two streams of classes on offer, one for young dancers aged 8 - 12, and a series of masterclasses for dancers aged 16 and up (including tertiary students) who want to push their skills to the next level.

MASTERCLASS SERIES - SUITABLE FOR AGES 16+

Taught by incredible ADT company artists, the April masterclasses invite dancers to connect with the company and extend their contemporary dance practice.

Each masterclass will include:

  • Contemporary dance technique- technique exercises and methodologies utilised by the company as part of the dancer’s daily training and preparation.

  • Company Repertoire- excerpts from recent ADT works, developing the skills and knowledge to perform complex unison and small group phrases.

  • Creative practice- creative tasks and improvisation practices, fostering  experimentation, process based research and collaboration, which are central to the ADT’s creative processes.
