Garry Stewart has been the Artistic Director of Australian Dance Theatre for 11 years. Stewart's distinct choreographic style requires Australian Dance Theatre dancers to train in a number of specific physical disciplines. As well as contemporary dance techniques and classical ballet, they are coached in elements of martial arts, breakdance, gymnastics, contact improvisation and yoga. The result is a fusion of forms, which constitutes a unique choreographic palette.
