French triumph for Garry

Garry Stewart's new work created for the Ballet du Rhin debuted on October 23 in France as part of the Rameau-Richter Project triple bill. Gilles Haubensack from L'Alsace says:
"Un-black is ultimately a triumph. This peice carries the dancers in a maelstrom of erupted turmoil, explosive gestures and a nuclear confrontation deployed with a staggering speed of execution that leaves the viewer breathless and delighted. Stunning!"

Garry's LA Time praise

Garry Stewart has received critical praise from the LA Times for a routine he choreographed for the American series of So You Think You Can Dance.

Claire Zulkey wrote "...[the dancers] wowed everyone with a very strong, cool Garry Stewart contemporary dance that, as Nigel Lythgoe pointed out, was noteworthy for the athleticism it showed off in its dancers. The final image...was especially vivid. (Adam [Shankman] called it an "Emmy moment".)"

We hope you enjoyed your recent experience with ADT, either during our season of G as part of the Adelaide Festival Centre's Piv(o)tal dance program last August, or more recently with the world premiere of Be Your Self as part of the 2010 Adelaide Festival.

After each Adelaide season, we conduct research to help guide the planning of future ADT events and campaigns. The information we gather also helps us to gain sponsorship and other financial support. The survey simple, and only takes around 5-10 minutes to complete. We'd love it if you could participate!

Click here to take the survey.
